Miracle caught on camera

The operation in 1972 to remove a cyst from 6-month old Darren Smith’s left eye didn’t work; instead he lost vision in it all together.

We recorded on camera (in 1991) God’s restoration of his sight here in Brentwood (Essex) on 2nd April 1991. Before praying for him, Rev Michael Reid had preached specially for people with a need to be healed, including those who would like to understand first.

The video also includes Darren Smith’s testimony and interview with a doctor to confirm his recovery.

About bishopmichaelreid

Michael Reid believes by building on the foundation of our biblically based family ethos, and maintaining a focus of miracles, healing and faith, the church can expand under God-anointed leadership – regardless of ‘qualification’. There are countless examples throughout history of God using men as leaders, oftentimes, when according to human logic, they might seem unqualified for the job. Such was the case with Bishop Michael Reid, an atheist policeman, whose life was transformed by the grace of God in a meeting led by late Demos Shakarian [founder of Full Gospel Businessmen’s Fellowship International]. At the meeting under divine instruction God told Demos “Go get that man, I have a work for him to do” and Bishop Reid’s life in Christ began. As he started in the work God had given him, Bishop Reid quickly discovered God had given him the gifts of healing, discernment, knowledge and deliverance. He has been operating in these gifts – praying for the sick and preaching the gospel ever since with miracles and healing following.

  1. Hello. I am a minister too, and have spoken to you, Michael, a couple of times on the ‘phone, way back. I knew Nick and Carol H.-C. I am ex-Wally North Fellowships.

I am sorry to see you are promoting yourself like this. Your self-promotion is not God’s way, Michael, and quite unnecessary for a man who walks with the Lord. Your behaviour is that of an antichrist, and you need to step back, and reflect with God, coming back to the place of meek humility and quite servitude of the Lord. Being a loose cannon, living and acting without Jesus; being a pope in all but name, will end up in eternal fire for you. I don’t want that.

    • “Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.”

Im only doing what a true son of God does. I’m sent to teach, preach and heal.

      • Michael, I am not being unkind. You left the Lord Jesus a long time ago, and you are off without Him trying to do for Him. Jesus said, ‘ you are with me or you are against me’. In the New Covenant God does not send people out in the same way as He did in the Old. In this Covenant you walk with Him, moment by moment.

You have put up this video promoting yourself and what you are doing, though that video was recorded a long time ago when you were considerably younger, and you are not now even in what you had then. A man of God does not need to promote himself, he just does as given to do, almost unseen and unnoticed.

You have left the True Vine and you are dried up. There is no Spirit in you, and without Him you can do nothing. For goodness sake, man, this is not a game. Your life is on the line. God’s people are told to discern who is who and what is what and deal with people accordingly, 1.Jn.4 for instance, among many others. It is not my place to judge you, to sort you out, but I write to warn you that the path you are on is one that ends in the lake of fire. You are empty, dead, and you have nothing of God about you. You scare the living daylights out of me.

  2. Wonderful Miracle. Why don’t we see more ministries like Michael Reid’s have miracles? Where is the true church of Jesus Christ these days? Thanks for posting this video

  3. @Justin Do you see miracles in your church? Moreover, why do you blaspheme by mocking God’s miracles through Michael Reid’s ministry? King David fell mightily, but God still loved him and kept him as King.

    • Hello Mark. Don’t be silly. I don’t do ‘church’, and miracles in the past when the Lord and the apostles were doing them did not happen in ‘church’ either. ‘Church’ as we know it did not exist before the mid-300’s AD when the devil got the antichrist system religion built. The early disciples did not do ‘church’.

I would not dare blaspheme God. I have been used in healing myself, yes. Michael Reid is not with Jesus Himself, but is a loose cannon, and as antichrist as the pope of Rome or any frolicking frock of the Anglican religion thereby. I wrote to him to suggest he might reconsider his walk, for his good.

  4. Was it wrong for Luke to put out the activities of Peter and Paul in the book of Acts: the miracles and the wonderful acts. Was that a promotion of the apostles or what Jesus alone can do? Yes it is an old video, So are all the works of the men of God who are dead or alive. Why do we criticise people so much when they are alive but promote their work when dead. Spurgeon was such a good man of God but people criticised and talked against him until he died and began to sing his praises. Does the video of this healing inspire you or infuriate you? Was it a work of God in the past? if it was could it be a work of the devil after some years? Are the books and DVD’s of men who are dead and gone ceased to be work God has wrought? Hebrews teaches that Abel still speaks.
Galatians 6:1 teaches that those who claim they have the manifestation of the Spirit are to conduct themselves in gentleness when they see someone in a fault or sin. Precious ones, I will encourage you to judge yourself by Scripture and not with another.
We stand or fall to our Master, His name is Jesus.
